OK, stick a fluffy tail and that false lion wig on a Mastiff and you've got a VERY good lion hoax. Brilliant. I want a go.

Big Cat Hunt? That had me worried, as I sometimes have a dyslexialike condition, whereby I see words spoonerified. If that makes sense.

The lions twitter account has been suspended. The government is trying to suppress the lions right to free speech and to roam. Apparently he is now seeking asylum in Ecuador!

I told you it wasnt a lion.

Its actualy the Loch Morar Monster.

(Nessie is too expensive to hire...)

Thats why you should always go bushcrafting with someone with shorter legs than you.

I will take that into consideration next time I am out. :D

Turns out it was just a pussy cat...honest...

There were people reporting roars as well. Not sure if that was the same person.
Would be a problem if it was a lion and they have called it all off and it attacks someone.

The picture has been published

However, reading the story it was supposed to have been taken at approximately 7:00pm... seems a bit dark for that time of day

This is indeed a picture of a lion, but a faked one. Reading the eye witness accounts saying it was a female lion absolutely a female lion. Then another is a million % sure is was a lion, tan colour and big mane. The photo confirmed to be the one given to the police looks like my cat taken from a low level, but as I wasn't there, I'm not going to pass judgement.

But could it be this

There is also the fact that the photo has the "lion" looking right at the camera... If a lion was in view, that camera would have to be superglued to my back to get a decent picture!

I really wanted a big cat to be caught...

Bit of a difference between a lion and a big domestic moggy, even more strange if a wildcat had wandered south from the Highlands, and had some highlights done.

i believe there probably was a lion on the loose,i believe it could well have disapeared from the circus, they said they didnt have a lion and i suppose they had no registration for one either ,but with all due respect to my irish tinker friends ,they dont register half the vehicles they own let alone a bdooly lion. Also we all know how the gvt does coverups and tells out and out lies, this lion was likely shot by police or specialist military trackers and disapeared quietly in an industrial incinerator on the hush ,i mean we cant have a lion roaming around upsetting folk eh! as for that dodgy picture of a lion ,well i suppose defra (or whoever they call themselves now) probably get dozens of stupid fakes sent to them every year by pranksters or the mentally fragile that would come in handy in a situation like this. mis-information (lies) is a potent tool for the palace of westminster lot.still i bet my grandkids (should i have any) will probably find out the truth when the reports are de clasified.

I have friends in a Circus (a big one, mind) and (when they used to keep cats, I dont know if they do anymore.) they were all registered and looked after very well. very valuable animals, you dont want to lose one.

Thats a good traditional poodle cut, Jackbr, some folk are returning to them.

I hope no one is camping near by and the authorities capture the cat safely without any harm to itself or anyone else.
