Better match management

I have a box in my bum bag, this is in a zip up plastic case.

it hasnt been wet; nor exposed to much damp, but when I came to use it I couldnt light;

a) an ordinary match.

b) A lifeboat match

But the non saftey did light.

I suspect the trouble lies in the striking board. These are of varying quality.

how do I keep the board dead dry?

When you but some items they come with little sachets of dessicant. You could try and aquire one and keep it in you zip lock bag.

I got about a thousand sachets of silica gel

use them to keep fish hooks from rusting

if anyone wants any, just shout
