this years weather is producing loads of berries, so it seemed a good time to have a go at making a berry comb.
beach wood base and centre ring (same external diameter), i drilled the holes straight and a fraction larger than the side bars. the bending outwards keeps them tight in the holes.

i gave it a gentle steam over a saucepan and left it tensioned for a week before cutting the prongs to length.
ps the coin was just in to keep it neat when tying above the centre ring.
