A damn shame, they seemed to really enjoy the outdoors.too........... Camping at the base of & on the top edge of rock/cliff faces have been on my no no list for quite some time.

don't sleep under beach trees {tragic} regards dave

Years ago there were a couple of squaddies in the UK who were camping in a camouflage tent and got ran over by a tank, I'd call that pretty unlucky.

Such a tragic end to a Father daughter trip.

Thoughts go to the rest of the family.

the only thing to say is that at the very least, they died together and doing/sharing something they both loved.

Really tragic.
I've noticed numerous falls and landslips around here over the past couple of years in places that you may expect such in 20-30 year cycles.

Tragic as has been stated. The question really is was this avoidable or not and given the circumstances I doubt it was.

Elm trees are known for dropping whole limbs off with no warnings. I have heard of campers being killed by them when camping under them.

I dislike camping under trees in general because of rain drip but this is a clincher.
