We're moving to The Fens in a month or two (fingers crossed) is there anyone around the area? Spalding? March? Ely?

Would you be interested in getting together for some of the crafting side of things, Tanning, Carving, Cordage, Knapping?

I may be building some kind of Earth Lodge, Neolithic style hut in the near future, not sure exactly what yet, it might just end up being a parachute shelter but it's going to be a place to work on hides as well as have a base camp and spend time carving and making cordage, all the usual stuff.

Lots of ideas, I'll be at the Bushcraft show at the end of this month and I'll try to make it for a day at least to the Moot.

If you are interested in getting together and you are near to the area it would be great to hear from you!

I moved out to Ely a couple years back, and the area is pretty ideal for outdoor projects. The land is flat and there's tons of open space, so setting up a base camp or experimenting with shelters is pretty achievable. If you’re planning to do a Neolithic-style hut, you’ll find plenty of folks around here who are into history and crafting. When I made the move, I didn't want to deal with all the heavy lifting and hauling myself, so I used ThreeMovers. They handled everything from packing my gear to unloading, and it kept stress to a minimum so I could focus on settling in.
