Bass fishing north east

Guy in the tackle shop said somebody caught a bass on a lure near Blyth yesterday. Does anyone else bass's fish in the north east? If so, I might invest in some senkos....

Good luck I'm not from The North East bass are one best eating sea species that or fresh squid for me unfortunately I don't know a lot about bass.
