Hi folks,

Everybody seems to have a different mix for bannock bread. I love eating mine. I use the drop scone method to cook mine. My mix is flour, baking powder, powdered milk and the other basics.

I also add some ground cinnamon and dried fruits or ground cinnamon and seeds such as sesame seeds, poppy seeds, pearl barley and sunflower seeds. The seeds mix is higher in fat than the fruits but lots of the fat is good fat.

I am wondering what your bannock mixes are. What is your favourite ingredients?

Little or no difference in any of them really, if I make it I like to mix cheese and fry in bacon fat/lard. If you add fruit you are almost making Welsh cakes so make Welsh cakes in a dry pan.
