Is there a difference between the orange version and the laplander apart from the colour and price?

There sure is a difference. With the 396-HP (the orange one) you cannot saw plastic like material and bones, but for the rest you can do the same things as with the laplander.

The popularity of the laplander, in my opinion, is based on several TV/book appearances.

For myself I use the 396-HP with no problems at all.

Kind regards,

Jeroen

I suspect that's just down to different blades - the actual bodies are the same, they take the same interchangeable blades, but there are 3 different blade types available for these saws.

The orange one gets my vote for high visibility - much easier to find if you put it down somewhere.

Yer, you don't loose the orange one when you put it down! lol :lmao:

Have you looked at the Gerber folding saw too? I've used both a lot at work and find the gerber cuts quite a bit faster although I found the laplander a little more robust.

Cheers,

Bam. :D
