I picked it up and just had to have it. It feels so nice in my hand and is very very pretty. The piccys do not do this knife justice.

I have no financial connection to John other than being a very satisfied customer.

very nice

Whats teh style called where the blade projects back as a opener etc

ive wondered on the legality of this due to fixed blade ??
if you had one that was a 3" blade and say a 4" rear projection it would be safe fron folding point of view but have no locking mech as such just your hadn on the grip

is it a folding knife or a fixed blade with a folding blade cover ???

if thats is illegal EDC and the one above isnt wheres the deliniation ???

Does that make sence ?????? been in my head for a while

I think i know where you are coming from . The leaf knife has a 3 inch blade and that includes the rear projection. When fully open its only about 3 & 9/16ths of an inch long anyway. I think the difference would be the projection on this knife does not work as a part for holding as it moves through the handle and the blade is held with the finger just behind the cutting edge and on the spine of the blade.

Dont know if that helps much.

glad you picked up on that mate, I was scratching at the old melon there

I think legality of any blade is dubious its all down to where you are what time it is what your doing what your wearing more than that's legal so there. A police person would have to make that decision at the time and place as it should be , I make knives but I very rarely carry one , the only time I do carry is when I am out walking well away from towns. or if I am going to a builders merchants things where I know I might need to cut.

I like friction folders.

My understanding is that the cutting edge ie the sharp bit has to be under 3". If you have "blade" of 6" but only 2.5" are sharp tehn it would be legal.

Daft that strictly my 1" fixed blade ( that will hardly take an edge) is ilegal but my small
2 14/16th" straight razor is a legal EDC! And boy will it cut. Go figure?
