I dont know if this is the right section but does anyone near west Yorkshire know of any places to start Bushcraft local to knottingley i have 2 other freinds very intrested and we just want to know a suitable place thanks again.

Try google earth, find a decent sized wood and then start knocking on doors until you find the owner. Try doing a search on here for "getting permission", there are some useful threads which will help you approach people without scaring them off.

I have a couple of permissions but tend to head to the Dales, Lakes or Scotland for my fun.

There's a good wood just for walking and doing things like plant and animal recognition near Selby called Skipworth Common. Don't think you would get away with camping on there.
