Another Vintage stove (Borde)

Managed to stumble across this Borde 16 last week.
(Im not a collector of stoves but do appreciate them)
Had no idea what it was, except it was really cool and I have never seen anything like it before. I um'd n ah'd walked away and came back then purchased it.
Posted on Classic Camp Stoves hoping to have people shed some light, I have instructions also an unseen document and receipt of original purchase 1953 from Borde directly. It seems my new stove is very unique even a collectors dream with the paperwork I have.

Ah - nice catch! The Borde bomb, as it is known to stovies, for well-founded reasons..............

I guess it self-pressurises when the tubes get hot - but how do you pre-heat when there is no 'saucer' for meths? What holds the pans up?

Good stumbling indeed! You can preheat by the integrated method of lighting the tiniest drip of fuel when the stove is inverted but - as the AdventuresinStoving note says - you might consider it foolhardy. In which case, meths or some other fuel in a lid, or foil cake-case etc should get it going in a more cautious manner.
