@copperhead - great video on the half pyramid set up. It's a versatile shelter with good weather protection,but with excellent headroom at the front. What is not apparent from that video is that you can also get reasonable height at the back by tying the back out to a tree, or making a small pole.I use trekking poles front and back on an 8'x10' tyvek tarp to make a shelter with doors with a floor area of approx 6'x4' . the no door version would be ca. 7'x4' - adequate for solo or for two in an emergency. Here's a video using a lightweight tarp and trekking poles which might be better for back packers.

Thanks for the help guys, I'm pretty sure it's like the one in the video. I'll be off to the woods to try it and see once I've bought myself a new tarp
