Or how even a basic knife can be priceless
So it's my birthday today, and I just received this priceless present...
I have better knives, by AW and others, but this one has a story.
A year ago one of my best friends, who lived in Sweden, died very suddenly and unexpectedly. He was only 44. He was a very keen hunter (deer and wildfowl), sailor, and all round outdoorsman. He lived the life, and accompanied me on a great trip to Norway.
I was very moved to receive from his widow, his regular EDC, this re-handled old Mora. You can see it's been well used. So although it's a basic knife, to me it's priceless. I won't keep it in the draw, I'll give it the use I think my late friend would have approved of, and will think of him often whilst using it. A nice physical link to his memory.
Happy Hunting Old Friend.
