All I can think of is a method I saw in a car repair manual for holes in upholstery.
Use a patch of leather the same colour and larger than the hole and glue behind the hole to hold it shut. Press down on the torn edges and try and get them as close together as possible .
Once the glue is dry a good leather dressing might also help blend the repair in .
