I drove down from Inverness to Hampshire last night/this morning. Entertaining to say the least - pretty much blizzard conditions over the mountains between Inverness and Perth. Trusty Ssangyong Musso handled it all with aplomb though. I'll try to get some piccies up!

A bit windy in Angus but not as bad as you guys in the central belt.
Spent yesterday chopping logs for a neighbour with a restored Elwell #7 axe. He has enough firewood for the next six months! Everything has an upside!

I stood watching the Forth Road Bridge swaying, which was eerie and watching the film crews get buffeted about on the viewing platform. The dog loves that kind of weather - nutter.

Down here in Wales with the westerly coming straight up the Severn estuary, and worsening, I've just passed two teachers and a party of kids canoeing on the canal, with branches and pine cones flying round them like hail. Matter of time before there's a tree down between them and their canoe transport (if not directly onto them).

My dog loved it too though!
