Planned a small meet in the hills of Wales at my Winter Campsite with some friends to celebrate the Festive Season...
Sadly, due to various reasons a few guy's had to pull out, but 4 of us made the mile or so journey into the wilds for some 'me time' and a general relaxing few days. We where pretty lucky with the weather having severe high winds shortly before the meet day and just the odd shower or gust of wind (of the air type ) to deal with! I was planning a solo to round it off on Thursday, but thank god I called it off, as the severe weather has returned and it was howling down outside
The food, company and event where excellent. One of the guys has recently became a father, so the spirits where high in both banter and liquid! He managed a straight 12 hour sleep.
A first for some time as you can imagine!
Thanks to those that made it, and those that tried. There's always next time and I hope you had a fantastic Christmas.
Base Camp...
My set up using overhanging trees to pull the sides out, worked well.
Our 4 legged friend for the stay, making herself at home on Mat's Bivi
Rudolf stopped in for a port and mince pie!
Obligatory Axe shot..
Mmm... Tasty!
Some junior Artists Conk, good to see.
Mat making a spoon and generally chilling...
Paul and Scott. Smiles all around, job done.
Thanks for the support in holding our small meets during 2011, may 2012 bring a few more!
