Well, that's it, I got the disease, I just want to do more now...

My plan is to cut it in a 2.5 mm plate, and to forge just the edges into a convex, with a full tang, that shall keep the weight low and make it a real slicer...

I like the idea of the forge design. :) Especially the gravel idea.

I only have a small piece of garden out the back and I dont think she indoors would not allow me to have a normal type forge. :eek:

I suppose once you have used it ...you could unstack the bricks away and put the gravel in in pail or something. :) and put it all away tidy.(Liz likes the garden to be tidy)

After burning the living room carpet whilst doing some indoor forging :eek: I thinf Liz may let me have a go with this design.. :D :D :D

Yes the gravel acts as a heat barrier too. Any cheminey/barbecue refractory brick will do!
