    Hanging wood

Great idea Tony. Some of the best and certainly the driest will be found up high and in the hedgerows. Earlier this year I retrieved two huge bags of birch twigs from a hawthorn hedge. This one caught my eye just now whilst out walking the dog. I noticed it from the way it was hanging and it's...

Very cheap Mini Cree led torch

Too right, if they last a year I'll be happy at that price!! And not worried about lending one to a Scout either - there's no way they're getting my Lenser!!

Very cheap Mini Cree led torch

Mine arrived yesterday, 19 days from order to delivery which isn't bad considering they're from China! Popped the batteries in and have to say I am very impressed. Got my ear bent from the wife for spending whilst we're moving house but when I told her the price she gave a nod of approval...

I ordered a couple of these today, can't argue at that price!

Compact brew/ cook kit for the car

I got the kettle cheap, couple of quid if I remember right, so thought it was worth a try and reduces boil time on the Trangia against using the standard pot.

    STUPIDLY SIMPLE Midge Repel

At least it's not just me with the ASSS then, I was beginning to think I was the odd one out!! Sounds like Stupidly Simple is the way to go, especially with the added benefit of smelling of camp.

    Peanut lighter

I've got a True Utility one as well. Great little lighter, got it at xmas and not had to refill it yet.

    STUPIDLY SIMPLE Midge Repel

Hi, is this stuff still available? I react badly to all things that bite or sting so always on the look out for something that works, especially if it's natural!! Avon skin so soft didn't work for me, in fact I'm sure I got bitten more...

BcUK Photograph of 2014 competition May heat winner

A stunning photo, would happily have it hanging at home! Well deserved.

Compact brew/ cook kit for the car

Another vote for the stainless steel Swedish Army Trangia here. I have mine packed into an S10 respirator pouch along with fuel and a small kettle I adapted to fit the trangia with the use of a mallet... Speeds up the boiling of water then!

Done it again! Tell us your injury stories!

BR I don't think anyone will be able to top that!! Reminds me of the time I tried to take my contact lenses out after being at work chopping chillies all day...

    Its that time again HAYFEVER!!!

Going to watch this with interest. Mine is really bad this year and nothing seems to be helping!

Done it again! Tell us your injury stories!

Where would be the fun in that ;-) I use my scars to teach my Scouts how not to do it!! I tell them I make the mistakes so they don't have to... The one on my knuckle caused by a blunt SAK is particularly useful!

Done it again! Tell us your injury stories!

Not just you, must be a boy thing!! I've dislocated my kneecap a couple of times with the last time caused just by stepping backwards!! Also broke my nose when I was younger and they told me it wasn't broken so I can now squash it against my face... Also recently did my back in playing with a...

    Blackthorn.

I've not seen it around this part of Hampshire but I'll keep an eye out when I'm out with the dog.

    My new glamping kit.

I expect you'll also have to travel some distance to get what you want? Our T25 is 3m tall permanently so I can see where she's coming from about headroom ;-)

    My new glamping kit.

Very nice, we also have an old T25 (one of the early aircooled ones). Do you have any plans to put a pop top on it at any point?

    Old kitchen knives

That's how I would describe them too. They were my first knives bought for me by my parents many years ago... I now have a nice set of Sabatier instead! And of course my trusty Chinese cleaver!! Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
