    Platypus in the cold?

A few tears back i was on excercise in Norway and the marines issued us with a 1ltr Platypus with the sports type drinking lid. They advised us to keep this on our person, in an inside chest pocket or such next to our body, so that it would not freeze in our kit. I did this once and then...

What's the fit like on Buffalo gear

i have a mountain shirt, as said in post, it is meant to sit next to your skin and be quite 'hugging' - either get measured or try b4 you buy as they are not the fit of usual fleeces / mid layer. Fantastic bit of kit though and worth every penny in the field.

    Hennessy Hammocks.

i bought mine from http://www.armynnavy.com - free delivery UK - it was about £85, but thinking about it, it's a bed / mosi net / tarp all in one and packs to about the size of a Nato 58 water bottle, nice bit of kit i think.

    British army machette

i have a Golock 2000, same kinda thing and i think they are a great tool. I got it new and found the Edge was fantastic...in the middle, but the rest of the grind was pants. After some re-working i got a good scandi on the full edge, and i often take this out instead of a small axe. Wolf: i...
