Damascus AW in Antler..

Thought I would show the buscrafters, well everyone really, this lovely piece I commisioned from Mr Wood.. Cant see it getting much better than this..

Damascus Bushcraft knife in the Woodlore style, Antler handle, red liners, Stainless pins with tapered tang..

i find it hard to see knives as anything other than a tool but, boy oh boy that is lovely very nice i think that the first knife that i have drooled over.

One day I will change the micarta scales on my example for that of either Dall sheep horn or mammoth ivory if I can find either with the required figure and hue.
I've assumed you won't be using it in conjunction with a firesteel!!

i bet that because its made out of antler it has a wonderfull weight is it much more heavy than the micartas? .

I wonder if the handle part of the blade is welded on - it does not seem to be damascus, just even steel.

I would think its just because the handle has not been acid etched rather than a welding job
