50m of 3mm bungee to re-cord my tent poles for my Gobi 4 (which is still hanging in there after 15 years), Uk made for less than £10.
Could you say where from? I've bought bungee in from the likes of eBay with 'UK source' but it's been apparent that it was actually an AliExpress dropshipper! Quality was rubbish (not that I'm saying it all is from there, just that lot lost it's elasticity right quick).

Like a machete, a hatchet and a large knife had a child. Did you get the wonderful leather sheath that they offer for sale?
Yes, I got the leather sheath.
I even ventured outside into the garden and pinged off a few bits of tree that were hanging over the fence. It works well but it's far to hot out there to be doing anything.

I have ordered some solar kit for my New Old Truck

The polymer roof of the rear being flat and smooth, I ordered some self-adhesive CIGS panels, plus a new charge controller (they have come on a ways since I had one in my Big Van), a reel of solar cable and some connectors. Oh, and the crimp tool to attach said connectors.

I already have the batteries, I had replaced the battery bank in my Big Van not long before I got rid of it, so I extracted them first. They are 120Ah AGM leisure batteries (4 of). Useful to run accessories.

Like the 12V compressor fridge I bought last week..... and interior lights. New Old Truck does have power take-offs in the rear body but they are direct wiring from ignition battery and on all the time, and that arrangement just has "end up stranded due to flat battery" written all over it......

Got a new sharp tool with extra's, a belated birthday gift.

Finish of the wood is less yellow than my older Opinels, dont know of that's on all recent Opinels or just on this set.

Spoon is a bit on the small side I think, but that's a first impression without actually using it yet.

I’ve wondered about that set. Tastey

It doesn’t work on the only #8 that I have because it’s a plastic “Outdoor”.

They only do it for the #8 - it’s their most popular size.

Have you seen the barbecue set based on the twelve?
It includes the #12B with a 160mm blade. I just haven’t got €100 spare .

Perhaps soon they will sell the 12B on its own.

pee ess.
I have a number of SS twelves and derivatives and the finish colour varies but nothing like the tan of the Carbone series.

Wow, never seen the BBQ set before, thanks for bringing it to my attention...
Price is a bit (very?!) steep though, but a fun kit to drool over on my laptop screen ;)
