    recommendations for a large backpack?

I've got a Karrimor Predator 45 + side pouches which makes it 75 litre capacity. Heaviest I've loaded is 20kg but I'm sure that it'll bear more weight than I can! There is the option to put stuff between the side pouches and the main pack, I put my walking poles there (there are small...

I've bought a variety of water bottles and cups. Ranging from a US army 1 quart bottle with stainless steel cup, the Pattern 58 bottle with Crusader cup to a Nalgene 1 litre Tritan bottle with AlpKit MyTiMug. Of the three my favourite is the US army 1 quart bottle with cup and cover which is...

    Which Backpack Have You Got?

I've got a Karrimor Predator 45 + two side pouches. It's not light (2.7kg) but it's 75 Litres capacity and well made. I'm 5'9" and it's a comfortable fit on my back (up to 20kg). I was a bit cagey about spending £150 on a rucksack but I'm pleased I did!

Camping for 3 days: What size rucksack would be best?

Sports Direct currently has a 65L Karrimor rucksack going for £32 and Millets has several tents at £25 which I can afford this month. I got two 44L dry-sacks from Aldi @ £2.99 each. I'd like to buy a micro-tangia with a view to getting a Honey-stove at a later date.

    Five pound sharpening kit

I'm new to bushcraft and knife-sharpening. I've a kitchen full of knives that I don't seem to be able to get sharp (using a kitchen-devil device and a whet stone). I've just bought a Mora knife but need to learn how care for it before I use it in the field. Any tips or info would be greatly...
