    Night time wee breaks

Oh, hang on. I may be on to something. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Portable-Mobile-Travel-Urinal-Toilet-Caravan-Camping_W0QQitemZ130258947478QQcategoryZ36440QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m8QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DMW%26its%3DC%26itu%3DUCC%26otn%3D5%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D8728020970330624092#ht_2315wt_865

    Night time wee breaks

Cards on the table! The worst part of camping for me is that I've left my en suite behind. Getting out of a warm sleeping bag, climbing out of a comfy hammock, fumbling with shoes and then walking to somewhere suitable ... it's a serious faff!! Has anyone come up with a suitable...

Cheap boil in the bag meals

Hmmm. I guess so, they are cooked after all, just cold and stodgy. I don't really want to try ... but I look forward to your report on this experiment!

    Pipe smoking/making

Calibanzwei - dark chocolaty wrappers must be maduro leaves. I've no idea where to buy leaves, but once you have then here's what to do with them: http://www.coffinails.com/cigars.html

    Pipe smoking/making

To the shagrin of my wife about 1 year ago I added pipe smoking to my arsenal of tobacco-enjoying activities! I partake of a pipe (mornings) or cigar (evenings) once or twice a week. I can't stand cigarettes and remain a snob ("fags are for addicts, cigars and pipes are for hobbyists" and all...

Best way to setup a tarp

Good link, great doc! Thanks, Dexter. Like eel28, I was keen to watch this thread having just bought my first tarp through the recent DD group buy.

    Vango Ultralight 200 ...tent

I've got an Ultralite 200 and I bought it eyes-open. There's always going to be a compromise; size, weight, dryness, cost, weather protection. Vango could have used Gore-Tex but it would about 2.5 times the weight. They could have given it a flysheet but that would have pretty much doubled...

    home weather stations

Yup. It serves to tell me how cold I'm about to be on my bicycle or motorbike, and how little I know about meteorology!

Cheap boil in the bag meals

These are designed for microwaving in. That sets my mind at rest.

Cheap boil in the bag meals

I've been using Sainburys' 2 Minute Meals for a while now. They're actually microwave meals but the plastic seems perfect for boil in the bag too. If cooking for 2 it's worth knowing that two meals fit perfectly in an MSR kettle, and you can then use the hot water for quick-cook rice! Oh and...

    Calling all bushcrafters in Surrey

Are there any logistical details we should be clear on? Ones that come to my mind are: How far are we walking/carrying kit? Is there water on site? Are there any costs to account for? Are dogs allowed? Should we all make a food contribution a la Woodlark's suggestion? Greatly...
