    Short Leg Waterproofs

When you mean short legged I presume you mean for wearing with wellies rather than for people with short legs? If so have a look at a pair of these Le Chameau Terre Neuve Overtrousers Mine have done a few seasons rough shooting and beating, heavy thorn proof and water proof material and to...

    Splicing

Three strand is easy to splice, either long splice (joining), eye splice (loops) or back splice (ends), it requires no special equipment other than knife, screwdriver, electrical tape and a gas lighter. Braded, multi plait and braid on braid are a little tricker especially small diameters, the...

    Trail-cam's

I have a Bushnell trophy cam xlt, it was near my phesent feeders but I have moved it close to a badgers set, there are also a lot of deer tracks in the areas so I guess it is a case of wait and see, also I think a salt lick may improve my chances. Great picture of a rabbit...... Would love to...

    Trail-cam's

Has anyone had much experience with trail cameras? My wife bought me a Bushnell trail cam for Christmas, but so far have not been terribly successful, two phesents, a stray cat and the neighbour walking her dog. Any tips on the camera settings etc. would be gratefully received, it would be great...

G1000 waxed with Barbour thornproof dressing, anyone tried it?

I have fjallraven cap which is made from G1000 and re-proofed it with Barbour thorn proof dressing, it worked a treat. Firstly I warmed the dressing and rubbed it onto the cap (but not too heavily) then tumble dryed, there was not so much dressing to give the greasy wax feeling but enough that...

    Which Air Rifle

I guess the "clunk" sounds loud only because your ear is right next to the spring, it is true that a moderator makes loads of difference once you stand a few meters away.

    Which Air Rifle

I have had a BSA superstar for several years, it's a little on the heavy side but prefer the under lever to break barels, they come moderated but as with all spring guns there is a resounding "clunk" as the spring is released. All in all a good spring gun if you follow the link someone has put...

    A perfect bushcraft gun??

Thats cool, how long is that barrel? I have no experience with .410 semi autos, but I guess it is zero recoil. 500 pellets must weigh about 750gms, with a 50% hit rate shooting small game would possibly provide 100kg of edible food giving 99.25kgs profit (not including weight of rifle)...

    A perfect bushcraft gun??

When I was a lad I had a Baikel .410 for harvesting game round the farm and loved it, with eley fourlong 6's there is no small game that you can't take cleanly, and if you add in subsonic cartridges and a silencer it is no louder than an air rifle with the ability to shoot flying/running supper...
