    survival bag advice

I'm not hoping or expecting to use it, I pray that I never have to. But it is defenately in my interest to be prepared. I figure throw a bag together and it will always be there just in case. I'm sure lots of people see it as being paranoid, but i see it as only a little bit of effort now with...

    survival bag advice

First of all, I have nothing to do with the "American media", secondly I gave a list of what was in my bag, and people questioned the gas mask so I felt I needed to make it clear how important I thought it was. If that is an innapropriate item to make mention of on this site then just forget...

    survival bag advice

I'm hoping to survive whatever needs surviving. Personally I consider the gas mask one of the most valuable pieces of the kit, I realized terrorism was a reality when 5,000 of my countrymen were murdered two hours from my home not so long ago. A conibear is a type of trap that closes on an...

    best knife steel for bushcraft?

I just read a topic on another forum about someones RAT-3 failing while batoning through a two inch sapling. It was due to the blade being made from D2 steel. I was surprised because I thought tool steels like D2 would be good for bushcraft because they are so hard. So what type of steel is the...

    fire in small shelter

Is it possible to light a fire inside of a small, enclosed, one person survival shelter such as a small tepee? Will the smoke level be too low? I know you need a opening at the top and a draught. And the shelter going up in flames aside would it be possible?

    mora too thin?

Are moras too thin for any bushcraft activities such as battoning or anything else. Would it be a fool idea to have this be your main carry when practicing bushcraft or in a survival situation? They are not full tang either which is not a desirable characteristic? Thanks guys.
