Hi all,

We were Lucky to have the weather on or side as it allowed us time to learn from morning till midnight.

A big thanks have to go to,

I hope you all had as much fun as I did.

Anyways on with the pics:

although I never got any pics, Chance's and kiltedpics lesson on the night sky was excellent ( I can now id the north star among other things using proper ref points and can also spot sattelites orbiting the earth

Again thanks to each of you for sharing your knowledge and making it such a great time.

Hopefully we can get something sorted for the spring.

cheers guys

some flora and fungi to ID:
I'm sticking with puffball: but not brave enough to hazard which one.

Once I can find my camera, I'll check if any of my shots are in focus.

Repeated and awed thanks for what appears to have been the last day of Summer.

Chance: "I think that we got away without anyone noticing the emergency table repair."

At the risk of dragging this out, here are those two halves of a beech log I mentioned; showing the change in colour due to deep-frying.

Great pics guys! Thanks for sharing...not like me to miss a chance at using my camera, but...next time :) Hey...wasn't it a great weekend, though? Just wish that I'd made it up for the Friday now, and I have to agree with Chance's observations regarding the last day of summer; we see to be in to autumn already!

Regarding the unidentified plant in the pic...I reckon it is Amphibious Bistort...can't remember what kind of habitat you said you found it in, CBJ, but Rose's The Wildflower Key (pp274-5) states that they are fairly common beside and in fresh water. Don't know about the fungi.....I'm inclined to go with Chance's id of puffball.

Anyway...thanks again guys; it was a privilige meeting y'all, and I can hardly wait for the next one; get that banjo tuned up, boy! ;)

Well guys it looks like you all had a great time, just a shame that at the last minute my life went side ways and I couldn't make it along. You got great weather and it llooks like a good time for all.
Hopefully I will make the next one.
