Washing a cloth jacket with leather patches

How do I do it? Its not like I can put it in the machine is it?

Dry clean.......................if you can't or don't want to, then hand wash in tepid water, air dry, then apply a conditioner to the leather patches but don't wash it often this way.

I've had leather patches on elbows of jumpers and one of my Swanni's for years and they've been ok. 30 degreee wash and once in a blue moon some oil on the leather.
