Hmmm - interesting - considering your username .......I so wish I'd made it to the moot. I paid but had to cave in to medical advice. Anyway I live in Peck'narm and we had a few bonfires of our own.
Yup I got them as well.
Back to working in an office 8-5, first day back I went to make a cuppa and stared at the electric kettle for a minute or so thinking this is too easy these days. Been kind of off the working mood all week at work. Never really had that problem last year but this year I have been out alot more, so hopefully by the end of the year it will be close to 30 days spent out, not alot but for me it is a big jump from the odd weekend.
Luckily I have the NE East Scotland meet to look forward to and hopefully see if I can get another couple of nights in the woods soon.
yes I get `post moot blues' as well, I think firstly I miss the company, and I miss the equality. its how societies should be - judged by your contributions and helpfulness to the group not by your possessions or looks. infact having fewer possessions is fun! I also enjoy all the walking round - walking for water and to the toilet. having these things just outside the immediate vincinity makes you burn way more calories. I love sleeping in my hammock outdoors though admittedly, i do love my bed and bath, those are the things i miss the most. Oh and a kettle, I hate waiting for brews. There are negative things as well though - I do enjoy my privacy so being back in a house is nice also, I think i might bring a proper tent next year, and I found camping on the edge of the woods near the sand dunes gave me panic attacks in the night, I guess it awoke a primordial fear that I was on the edge of the community with one side of me exposed to open grass, I dont know why but i kept really feeling it in the night and waking up panicking. It was after most people had left and the woods were quite empty. I think Im a creature that was supposed to live in a burrow rather than a tree!
