Grrrrrr... I hate being called Mick...

Seriously though, it's a great knife. The handle is much more substantial than I expected, which means that despite the small size of the knife (handle is just 2 and a half inches long) the grip is excellent, and it feels really secure in the hand. There's plenty of blade to work with for carving (done) or skinning (not yet), and it cut seasoned wood with not problem and without losing an edge. I really like the depth of blade. The chunky handle wouldn't suit smaller hands, I don't think, but fits me beautifully. The bead is laburnum and sets it off nicely.

The knife is for a full test on the weekend, as I've an overnighter planned.

Got to try and improvise a sheath too.

yep, its nicer than yours was when I sent it to you, then you worked you amazing skilz and turned my appalling work into a piece of living art, surely you should submit it to the British museum as the antithesis of knife handle design and execution, you are my world Southey and nothing compares to your majesty.

Stu,...

Um, well thank you Stuart, I like you too.
