No fans of 'Bridge's of Madison County' then????

Nope , just kidding.

Unforgiven is the classical dark, dry gritty Western. Great actor , Better director I think.

Gotta be his early westerns for me too, my personal favourite with him in is Unforgiven, But i thought, Flags of our fathers and letters from Iwo Jima were excellant.

having said that he aint a patch on John wayne :D

I knowit's not Clint, but as a classic western "The Searchers" take a lot of beating.

Interesting that the truly awful "Gauntlet" doesn't get many votes though!

Josie wales is the best.. High plains drifter. no one mentioned Firefox yet?

Anyone remember the Rawhide series?

I enjoyed Gran Torino, asains acting was poor but Clint was great.

The correct order is
1. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.
2. A Fist Full of Dollars.
3. For a Few Dollars More.
GB&U is set before FFoD.
:D

Does Angel eyes come back from the dead then? ;)

Colonel Mortimer isn't the same character as Angel Eyes, they're just both played by Lee Van Cleef.

Likewise, Ramon Rojo isn't the same character as Indio, again they just happen to be played by the same actor (Gian Maria Volonte).

Chronologically, GBU should come first - it's also where Clint's character acquires the horse-blanket poncho (scene with the dying soldier, just before the graveyard sequence).

OK, anorak off now... :D

It's actually not a horse blanket (or a poncho for that matter) It's a Mexican serape. They're also common among the Incas although made of alpaca wool there.
