I'm heading travelling around Europe for an as yet unknown period of time. I have a number of smaller folding knives which I will have no problem storing securely. However I have a Ka-Bar Tanto, which I don't really use at home - it's not one of my favourites, I'm not taking it with me and I want to get rid of it before I leave.

I wouldn't like there to be any chance of it falling into the wrong hands and I am looking for somewhere that will dispose of it properly.

Any advice would be great

Cheers

CS

Why not put it in the swap shop on here,...

i,m sure someone will swap you for something of more use on your trip,..

what are you short of?...

my collection doesnt have a Ka Bar,...

join as a full member and advertise it here. you can then 'vet' the people you are selling it to.

otherwise, just cut it into numerous bits with a grinder, or take it along to a garage or other engineering workshop and pay them to do it for you, returning the pieces to you when they are finished.

Which blade model is it mate. is it plain or with the first two inches serrated?

Would be happy to take it off your hands.
PM me and we can discuss options

Ah! so you don't really want to "dispose" of it then?

Your original post, sounded like you wanted to have the knife destroyed, rather than pass it on to anyone else:confused:

Why not just introduce yourself properly, in the relevant section, then put your knife in the swaps & wanted section?:)

We don't bite, (usually) and I for one, would be very interested to hear more about your plans and expectations for your upcoming adventure;)

go on, introduce yourself:bigok:

+1 Tengu

If you don't want it, swap it here.

I actually did want to get rid of it, I had never heard of a swap before.
