Which i find disturbing and confusing , on one hand its Nora Battys-esque tights and on the other hand its my future wife to be.... once she's kicked Brad to the kerb.

Frankly No....

We worked on the armour for Gladiator and Ridley's attitude then to suggestions about how to make things look more accurate was "We're making a film, not a history lesson."

The problem is that the mass market never reads a book and thinks stuff like this is history.

The stupid thing is that doing it properly would not only look better but usually it would be cheaper too.
