Looks good. I like the maple they've chosen to use on the handle. Now, where are my credit cards...?
looks like a nice knife, personaly i couldnt justify forking out £295 for one though.
it would be much cheaper to get a better one custom made, nice knife though.

Does look rather nice, unusual the way it's packed in linseed oil.
I've seen it advertised at £210 , still way out of my wallets reach though.
Just have to make do with my Mora

i wouldnt buy it for that either mate, it seems like a pimped woodlore and the spyderhole looks very out of place.

I just ordered one here in the US for the equivilent of 114 British Pounds, which is not that bad. I like the look of it. However, I do not much care for the sheath and the blade is made in Taiwan, like many other Spydies. I think it should be cheaper!
I did order one so I can see if I like it. The handles look good and the shape is well done. I waste so much money!!

The handle shape looks dreadful, though I've not held one so don't know for sure. Looks far too chunky to be comfortable, plus it looks as if it would be difficult to choke up on the blade for carving etc. I imagine it is solid enough though. I like the way it is packaged. That's good forward thinking.
It looks very good to me, but for that amount of money you could get a custom and some money left over.

depends on the exchange rates but still, i wouldnt pay more than £50 for it, to me its an overprced factory made inferiour version of the woodlore made to profit from the bushcraft scene.
Did you handled them both than to come to that conclusion?

Given what I know about Spyderco's commitment to quality and have experienced first hand, as well as all the complaints about the woodlore I've seen over the years (handle too narrow, steel too soft, comes with a coat of rust, etc.), I think it would be difficult for Spyderco to make an inferior version.

i can tell that i wouldnt find the handle confortable by the pics, i havent handled one of these, few have. i have handled and used a woodlore and disliked the blade shape and acutness of the grind, i prefer puukko style blades.
i dont see the point in the spyderhole and can only see with would make the blade less conforable and "gunk" up when performing food prep.
i dont like it.
that my opinion im sure many people have a very different one.
Aye, I know - wasn't having a go at you though. I was just surprised about your firm statement about a knife that's 'just' released thus not handled by many.

Theyre Great mate, they will outslice most because of the high grind
Even if you don't like the look of it, wish it luck in the market. The more sucessful it is, the better it is for this forum.

If they make the "NASA" version, I will buy one even if it is dear. Having said that, I would expect that the high tech version could be made for similar money, inspite of more expensive steel. That grind, the handle material, and the handle shape, all made problems for mass production. If anyone thinks that its easy to get a knife like that produced, and keep the price down, they oughta give it a try It's surprising what features turn out to be problematic.

can you confirm the specs on it
whats the thickness and Bevel Angle ?? think i saw it at 1/8" some where but some of the forums are a while old so may have changed and the grind hight looks higher than normal ??
nice sheath shape I assume hollow rivetted for neck/various carrys
