A pack for a dog should be carried far forward so the weight is on the shoulders and not on the back arch.
I haven´t seen this one in real life so I may be wrong but if you look at the pictures it places the load to far back.

Good point.

The bit about "mesh or lined saddle" is a bit off putting; dogs don't sweat through their skin so that sort of feature is a gimmick.

Dearer but better IMO

These appear to have a better chance of fitting the dog properly. You have to be careful not to rub the dog raw on the harness which is near the moving bits and the more adjustments you have the better.
 
I think he needs a decent pack :rolleyes: . He's already got more kit than me.
