One theory about our lives (and universe) is that we do not excist, we are just a computer program.
Could that be an explanation to the forum problems....?

Theories are theories because they have yet to proven true. Gravity, Evolution, Holo simulation... They are just ideas someone had at some point, that people agreed with, but can't prove.

And if you don't agree with what i said, but believe in the holo simulation theory... Just remember... i don't exist, i didn't say it... it was pre written by some random programmer somewhere, because i evolved to say it because said programmer decided that's what this part of said program should be doing and saying at this precise moment in time, after evolving for millions of years, to be able to type on a computer that didnt exist when i started evolving, dispite them writing the program on some random device, similar to a computer.

Turtles mate. All the way down.

I am sorry to be a pill, but I do believe at this point this issue needs to be addressed at a level above the mods.

Sloworm isn’t using an app and neither am I.
Neither of us have problems other than being welcomed as guests which we just ignore.

Is this an app issue.

Do others get problems if they use Sloworm’s links Direct from their browser?

It's not an app issue, I get the same issues as slowworm on desktop and phone (browser, not app).

It's an issue with some server side caching somewhere, not with individual users or their browsers. A user's browser experiencing an issue would not cause them to accidentally get someone else's auth or session token, and if it could that in itself would be a server issue because it shouldn't allow it for security reasons.

Thank goodness for that! Being a technophobe, I hate it when things go wrong and it causes me anxiety and frustration as I have no idea whats going on.
Thank you Tony, but wish it had been looked at when I first raised my problems in Sept.
Still it's sorted now, so, many thanks. I can relax now!

I think there might be some specific issues that apply to you that don't apply to everyone else, as it was quickly fixed for everyone else back in September. They only reemerged for me (and I believe everyone else) on Saturday. If you've been continuously having these issues since September, it is something else at play I think.

It was looked at and it was fixed, back in September.
It raised it's head again because of an update that enabled a particular data cashing that we have turned off.
I suggest that if you've not relaxed since September you might need to keep a better eye on the thread.
Or, if you've had issues the whole time, as Chris mentioned, you have a seperate issue that needs looking into. Have you had the same ongoing issue?

I have had issues since September. I took my phone to a pop up cyber cafe after you told me it was probably a cache problem, and had cache cleared, up date and full health check on it.
They said it wasn't my phone, it had a clean bill of health, but after seeing what happened when we went onto the forum, said it must be your end.
Then others started reporting when it started affecting them too.
I wonder how many others had a problem, but didn't report it as early as me back in sept or early October.
It just got worse and worse over October, never knew if I was realy signed in or out, user has changed banner everytime I went to a new thread, having to come out and back in again countless times. It was a mess, and I realy began to think that my phone had been hacked. Took it back in late October for another in depth check. (2 hrs) Clean bill of health again.
Oh and despite all boxes ticked to reciece thread updates on my g mail inbox, still not getting any notifications as has been the norm all the years I've been on the forum.
Still getting e mails from other sources with no problems.
Definatly the problem was with the forum.

Just had the active user has changed banner come up again after my reply to Toddy this evening.

very weird, we'll look into it more.
The issue that most people are referring to in this thread only existed for a short while on two occasions, it didn't exist for the whole time of Sept through Oct. So we need to look at what other things may be causing the problems for you, unless others are having the same issue? That's a question for everyone else :bigok:

So you are still having the same issues?
You don't know if your'e signed in or not.
Every time you go to a new thread you change username?
No email notifications (this does seem to be affecting a few people)
