Anyone got any suggestions as an alternative pouch for a 58 pattern bottle and mug , rather than the issue style pouches (either 58 pattern, or osprey in MTP) neither of which i want.

I am looking for something that will go on the front molle/pals panel on my lowe alpine sting and fit the 58 pattern water bottle and mug. Any one got any pointers?

Doesnt have to be a dedicated water bottle type pouch, utility pouches etc that would fit would work also.

I dont want to order somthing and then find it doesnt fit etc.

thanks
Ed

OK, the Crusader 1 kit - cooker stand, metal cup, canteen and plastic mug - will all fit in the Helikon E&E pouch quite comfortably. The inside slip pockets can catch on the metal cup as it slides in, but otherwise it's fine. There's a little space left at the sides to add small items. Obviously if you're not using the full kit then it will be an easier fit.

That’s Great thanks, just the bottle and mug - will that slip about? I.e be to loose a fit?

Any chance of a photo?
Thanks

The bottle and mug together are a nice easy fit. There's a little extra room and some slight chance of the odd rattle, but if you have anything in the inside pockets it will fill that space.

Photos: the complete Crusader system in the pouch, lid closed to show fit; bottle and metal mug; bottle and plastic mug. Hope that helps.

What's wrong with the issued Osprey MTP bottle pouch? Just the camo pattern or something else?

What? The issued MTP pouch doesn't fit the issued two mugs and bottle correctly? Does it fit well with the nesting stove?
Does the issued MTP utility pouch fit better?

I recently bought both pouches and think about buying bottle, both mugs and perhaps the nesting stove too.

But if it doesn't fit I probably will buy rather US army mug and bottle that seem to fit together very well into the British MTP utility pouch.

Unless they’ve changed them recently, they are much bigger than the alternatives shown above. You can fit rat packs in there with the full set. The US set is smaller than the crusader set, so there will be even more room with that.

yeah that’s ace - exactly what I was looking for and definitely room for brew kit etc. Thank you very much!

The BCB one is bomb proof, will take crusader cooker, 58 bottle with both cups and the fire hanger bracket without too much persuasion. It's PLCE fitting though.
