Lots of pasta with a really savory cheese sauce. The meat part is whatever thaws out first!
If I don't need a belly full of carbs then tacos.

I've had campfire pizza, too. The cook was an absolute wizard and magician.
I think that's a trick worth learning to surprize the Hello out of everybody.

The best out-and-out bushcrafty meal I had was the breast meat of a crow, wrapped with a little butter in wild garlic and wrapped again in a giant burdock leaf. It was slow roasted under the embers of a fire and was delicious, served with a potato baked in the embers.

Apart from that, pretty much anything filling works for me though it's hard to beat a full English breakfast. Somehow, it just tastes better when you're out in the wilds.

Heart and beetroot stew. Plus any veg/herbs/pasta to hand but there must be Lambs heart and beetroot in the mix. Slow cooked over a wood fire, give the odd stir, add a few more bits, great end to the day.

I'm lying in bed watching the darts final and reading this thread and it's making me ravenous !
I could happily eat every suggestion on here and most of them twice 👍

It's become a bit of tradition with my buddy. We met in Cub Scouts and back then they let us play with fire so we make it the 3 times a decade we get to go camping. 10-year-olds! FIRE!

Banana, slit down the length, push chocolate buttons in the gap, wrap in foil.

Would have to be the razor clams in garlic butter i caught and cooked up last weekend on the (cough) beach. Otherwise it would be a good curry with a few fresh chillies. I added a bit of rabbit in to the last proper curry i made outside and it was fantastic cooked over a few embers for about and hour odd.

Oh my, sooo many options to pick from.
I am a big fan of a hearty stew (beef if I’m with those of a delicate disposition rabbit or pigeon if not), sausages over the flames, steak directly on the coals, camp bread and bannock.
Always fancied trying a spit roast (insert inappropriate comment here) with a decent sized joint or better yet a whole pig or lamb.
