Chris youre in box is full...

The tan ones. One Reviews said he had worn them at -25 and they were cosy!

I know some guys who met me and Bob in Canada, 8-10 bushcrafters. They were good guys, and would be up for it again no doubt.

Ive been to winter in canada twice. I like the idea of alaska, but long haul flights, really rack up the pounds......

Youre probably right about russia. But the danger element of it is exciting and tempting...

Have to save the pennies.

Which bag did you get Al, i Forget. Surplus one rated to extreme -50˚ wasnt it?

Was it a carinthia?

[Swanndri ranger shirt nowhere near on a par with the £40 austrian army sweater from endicotts to go under your m90 jacket mate]

My bag/s are the Canadian Forces cold weather, twin nesting down bags + wool liner, good to ............they don't know, been tested to -50 but in what environment it doesn't say, as in tent, cave etc

Still looking at the Daschstein (sp) over the Swanndri :)

So, given all thats been said, I'm going to spend some cold hard cash on a stove. And I have no idea where to spend it :(

What do I buy, or am I doing the whole research based thing rather than recommendation? Happy to do it that way, but I'm hoping to test my kit in December. I want to test the kit knowing it will suit me in the arctic circle.

Hard to do anywhere in the UK.

These things dont come easy, unless you're willing to buy new from abroad.

Or you could always drive over to tamarack...http://www.tamarackoutdoors.co.uk/PBSCProduct.asp?ItmID=9152412 Go see Mike and the gang. As you know Dewi, they're a top bunch.

Maybe also worth a punt at an ad in the wanted section on here, you never know ? If your still going for the BT-2 you don't need a massively long flue either :)

EDIT: a reasonable stove with cheap shipping $320 all in, not bad
