Alps - Backcountry cross country (nordic) ski - bushcraft overnighter

So this is what I did this weekend
No tent
No sleeping bag
2200 meters elevation
-12 celsius
Powder so deep you sink into the hip with every step
Time to put your floaty backcountry powder cross country skis on
And get out there

Thanks dudes. This was this guy's first ever go on x-country skis...and first time in Alpine Terrain.
I think he did quite well.

I have Salomon x-adv grip 89 with a Rottefella BC XC Binding. (I also use climbing skins for steeper terrain and fluffy powder)
My buddy had rented Fischer OTX 89s with a normal xc binding.

Just my buffalo shirt and mountain serappe. (Hillpeople mountain serappe)
And a good hat.

My buddy had my down jacket, a fleece sleeping bag, and a wool blanket



We had a cargo chute canopy as a wind break. I dropped that on him when it got really cold. I don't mind the cold myself.

Pine boughs...dead wood...about 30cm deep. We were directly on the snow...

I have some qigong I do to prevent me from getting too cold. This also works a treat.
