A pair of stacked scandi's ive just made for myself and my son (Father and son). Both polar blades with leather, ash and nickel bolsters and ferrules.
I wanted to achieve something like an identical pair and i think ive done that to a degree,im happy and enjoyed making both of these:)
Comments welcome

Firstly all the bits laid out ready for assembly.

In the jig.

Both out of the jig and glued up and ready for shaping.

The start of the shaping.

All shaped and coated with linseed oil.

All done,i need to make the sheaths will i'll show when they are done.

These are great.

How old is your son. My misses won't let me make mine a knife yet. All I hear is
'he's too young for a knife... Blah blah... He's only six months old.. Blah blah'

13. He is going to absolutely love it. Has he seen it yet or is it a surprise?

Ideally i wanted to get it totally finished including a sheath but ive done alot of it indoors and he kept asking questions,i told him eventually and his face beamed..........i was so chuffed.

Well he is probably the luckiest 13 year old in the country right now. Not many dads would or could do this.
But it's a slippery slope. Next year when you ask what he wants for his birthday... "Alan wood Woodlore, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease"
