Awesome, If Mike does not mind showing me how to set it up, I would be most greatfull. The only difference to the set up on Youtube was that instead of using walking poles, I wanted to set a ridge line off a tree to hold it up.

I think this is the Tarp set up that you are talking about, I can't see any problems with setting this up along a ridge line, if I get the time I will give it a try before the meet.

I only wish the one that I tried to demonstrate at the skill share looked as good as this.

If you can use it, then it will do.

I thinks ranger and pacer beads are the same thing, 14 or 15 beads on a cord, 9 together tnen a knot the the rest.

Not had chance to read up on them yet, presuming they work a bit like a pace counter, I will have a read...... GOOGLE is great.

yeah bit of string with two set of beads, one set has nine on the other one has as many as you want, the set of nine is units of 100m, the others are 10's of units..

measure out 100m and pace it out to work out how many paces you have to 100m, say you have 76 paces, then every 76 paces you move the unit beads... just like an abacus... :), then every ten unit beads move a ten bead.. :)
