Goals/aims/plans for 2013?

  • Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
Get myself fitter.
Go to the woods more.
Continue making wooden furniture.
Build my own forge and beat some metal.
Take my canoe out and do some wild camping.
Do a weekend bush meet.
Probably more that I can't think of right now.

Well the quitting smoking never works. I did the weight loss thing last year, over 2st lighter this chrimbo than last.

This year i'm dedicating my res to crafts. Diversify knifemaking, learn bow making, reach a competent level of smithing.

Watch this space ;)

My goal is to get the blooming wife to retire then go and rent a place six months of the year in Gran Canaria and top up my vit D level...not a lot to ask really; we can afford it but she still loves nursing........ she promises then changes her mind, she promises then changes her mind, she promises then changes her mind

Lose some more weight and get to fly.

Get rid of some more junk

Attend the Bushmoot.

Get out more.

Fix up the Tactical Tin Tent.

Fix up Skyline and train it to pull TTT

I've a couple of projects I'd like to get finished

hobo wood gas stove
sami sewing kit
couple of knife mods
havasack
bedroll
wool smock

wow now I've listed it, its more than a couple best tell the misses theres no time for house work next year....
 
I've had an anvil and forge for a while now, not done too much with it yet though as its up at my parents house. Made some hooks and a tripod so far lol. Axes are the plan though :) Just need some steel and some practice for one really.

Quitting smoking never works for me either.
Smithing? Ooooh oooh.ooh nessie? Soon? Please? With a bow string on top?

3. Finish the gas cylinder forge (nearly done, just gotta pull mi finger out and finish it off)]

5. Go on a bushcraft course
6. Get my bike back on the road.

I'll probably break number 1 ( normally do :o)
 
1) pass full bike test (just so I've done it, I have a car but I'd like a bike one day)
2) go travelling this year. Instead of one Big holiday I wanna do 5/6 long weekend's in different places. Got Rome booked for June :) any recommendations?
3) get out at least once a month for an over nighter
4) finish diy underquilt
5) finally get settled into the new house :)
 
Heres hoping.

1.NHS sought my health.
2.If they do,get fit again.
3.Get out,havnt been out for over a year
4.Get back to just what I need to carry.
5.Do a Tracking course
6.Do a foraging/Game butchery course.
7.Take up leatherworking.
8.finish the diy underquilt
9.decide once and for all what tools I will be carrying(Axe,Tomahawk,Billhook or a large knife,Sheath,Neck knife, maybe a folding saw)got to decide.
10.Hope to be able to get to some part of Scandinavia,not asking a lot really.
