I think Hugo offered to make a bag for the chute?

When i had my chute rigged up, it was just hung with Blue poly rope, never had a problem with it, cheap and certainly robust enough to hang a chute from, it didnt matter if the rope was put away wet and left for ages either.

Hmmm, my own smaller chute, maybe we should do a private group buy and see if we can get a discount on the postage.

An extra quid, no pobs, happy to chip in a bit more to get well and truly set up.

As for Spandit being ostracised, I guess I should really keep him company as I'm just as bad.

Crap, just realised Neumo suggested 12" pegs and I've only ordered 8"... I'm sure they'll be fine, especially with 32 of them in the ground... They're not too dear anyway so can always get some longer ones in future if the need arises.

I can bring mine to the meet too if we need a separate work area - I'm planning on using an 11ft pole in the middle so we don't need trees (the larger parachute would need a 12" pole to have 60º slopes and 4' clearance underneath)

I always used to have one, but foolishly lent it out and never saw it again and the bloke who borrowed it seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth:(

Perhaps it was a large gust of wind during setup?

We will all end up with our own parachute...QUOTE]

Funny you should say that.......No haven't placed an order.........yet.

If we all have lines can we make the theme of the June one "insertion"?

What type of leather would be needed to make a sheath for a laplander saw?

Despite Jack's attempt at a joke, for which I hope he is truly ashamed, there aren't many cows in Lapland - I think reindeer hide would be apt.

Failing that, 3mm veg tan cow hide would be fine...

Seeing that the theme for this meet is leather, how do work it do we have to bring our own, or is it supplied, and we pay for it?.

Maybe Jack's sense of humour is restrained and hidden away after us being told to behave on last months thread. No restrictions on this thread so far Jack feel to get it out again.

Big Stew, I believe Simon H is bringing some 3mm veg tan along for people to buy a piece, ( correct me if I am wrong on that simon mate) I want some from you if you are bringing some.
Andy mate what size do you want the canvas bag, slightly bigger is always better.

Thank you for that Hugo, i'll wait for Simon to Confirm before i get some.

I'm buying a 10-12 sq ft hide later this week, assuming I'm solvent enough to pay for it. If not I'll shout before hand. It'll be 3mm veg tanned, might be 4mm but probably 3mm. I was going to get some extra needles, thread, and a couple of dyes - say tan and brown and then splitting the cost among those interested. There will be plenty left over to divide out too. I was going to propose sticking to a couple of things only this time, primarily a sheath or a belt if anybody doesn't want to do a sheath. Those fancying a belt can order their own buckles beforehand from here: http://www.theidentitystore.co.uk/ I usually go for 1 1/2' width. That will keep my cost down. Some tables would be great if anyone has one to bring please. Other things to bring if you have them is a Stanley knife and some clamps, I have quite a few clamps but I suspect they will all be in use at the same time so extra would help.
