in a suit and tie as well
In the picture I see there is no tie ..... what a let down....
Or is it that some ID/observation skills are lacking somewhat......
But
Ray in the driving position, out front and leading (as usual) the others look like passengers and there is a bit of excess baggage strapped to the roof.....

You can count the experts on one of Ranolf's hands , and if i were brave enough or lucky enough to go on an expedition of that nature , it would not be in one of those .( just an opinion of course )

This thread has made me realise how much I miss my Discovery 3, what a superb thing it was, shame about the road tax! And I could put about 10 regular pallets in the back, I only get about 5 in the 90 and that's a struggle!

I wonder if they want a spare driver for that trip?

Dave.

Anyone watch the old 1955 film clip footage? Would be a major embarrassment if that shiney new Landrover got itself busted on the journey. I wonder how many identical ones they have stashed away enroute along the way just in case they need to pull one out and pretend it's the same car? Or is this me being too cynical?

Anyway I wish them luck and for a really good cause too.

ever read about the range rovers they used to cross the darien gap, and how many axles were used\flown in?

Nope, but I'm guessing a few. Which is my point about this endeavor, will they actually do it in one piece? or like Charlie and Ewan have support vehicles following behind carry all the parts they know will break/fail/rattle off/rust through?

Never owned a Range/Landrover but I'm guessing they're a lovely little hobby to have.
