I rarely watch tv, can’t stand the programmes mostly put out but saw this and have been enjoying watching their way of life. Other Alaskan programmes look a bit of a con like Alaskan frontier, too set up and they live close to a town so it’s basically a farming show.


What does everyone else recommend watching

I have never sat down and binged on the show, I've only caught one here or there and rarely of the same season but I liked 'The Last Alaskans'. Some of the filming in it is fantastic, really displays Alaska at it's best.
 
I have family in Dawson City. -60C and 6 weeks of dark in the winters.
Great grandfather did OK in the Klondike. We still have nuggets to show for his registered claims.
If it's scenery and wild camping in luxurious sites along rushing mountain rivers, that's easy.
