i find that the series How it’s Made has lots of interesting videos.

One I just watches is called ‘ 1385 Pine Needle Baskets’

I had no clue pine needles could be made into something ..

There aren't many species of pine that produce long enough needles to be useful for weaving.
I've tried with Pinus ponderosae (Ponderosa pine) and those needles are almost too short =
have to sort them and toss the little ones.
Personally, I'd like to learn to weave grass baskets.
I'd like to learn to weave west coast western red cedar bark hats. Good ones are waterproof.
There's no chance that the Fisrt Nations are going to give up any of the tricks of the trade.
