Hi,

I have a spear head that i was left after a family member passed away recently and would like to mount it on a stave so it can be returned to its full glory, however, i know next to nothing about edged tools/wepons.

Does anyone have any idea what would be the best length and type of wood i would need???

if it helps i am 5ft 3 inches (if like atlatl-arts the lenght depnds on your height)

All depends on the type of spear that it is supposed to be. If you look at the spears used by Zulus, they are relatively short whereas the Masai have longer spears. I reckon you may be better off on British Blades with this one. A photo won't harm either way though as a lot of people from here are on BB and vice versa.
