Recently I’ve got back in to whittling again and I’ve been using a homemade straight edged knife I made a while back and despite being reasonably happy with it I fancied something with a bit more of a curve and a tighter point for those more awkward, intricate areas. Initially I thought of buying a Mora 120 but now I’ve put together a pretty adequate workshop I thought it would be more satisfying to go homebrew again.
This knife is made using O1 steel with a hidden tang. The handle is a laminate of offcuts of yew sandwiching rosewood with carbon fibre pins to aid the security of the blade.

I had a bit of an adverse reaction to some new meds this morning so had an unplanned day off. In between bouts of nausea I at least managed to get a rudimentary sheath stitched up (I’d already cut and dyed it etc) so at least it wasn’t a total loss :hungover:
