My younger son lives in the Alpahurras. I can see why. He's looking forward to Christmas in England- it reminds him of why he lives in Andalucia.

Oh God yes ! Christmas in Italy, Germany and Spain has been a joy over the last few years, a holiday, not overdone, not weeks of consumer frenzy, but a day kept in proportion. I do think that everyone should experience December in another county, not the US, to see how badly we have it wrong at home.

Market, to remind us of what poor folk used to live off.
We are so far removed from this now, please dont
post saying how you live off cow heel and tripe, very few of us in the developed world do.
This reminds us to be thankful for what we have.
