couldnt really be more last minute, but if your in the south east/kent and after something to do this weekend we (regia anglorum) are doing a viking/saxon re-enactment weekend at our permenant site in wildwood park.

there will be a fight each day and training throughout the day, it is my first show so thats all i can tell you about what is going on, but i have seen wychurst and been in (and painted) the longhall and trust me, its impressive!

Damn! This is about 5 miles from where I used to live in Kent. Wishing you a good weekend Scorpio. Hope the wet stuff keeps off mate.

i might turn up at the moot this year, not sure yet.
this event only happens once a year, but there are usually about 6-8 events each year which are open to the public (we have about 20 or 30 non costume/non public meet-ups for kit-making which are good).
the rain stayed off for most of the weekend and it turned out to be a really good show.
we allow public in through wildwoods for a small entry fee, but we dont actually expect many people to turn up, and normally there are only a few people there, we do it for fun not for profit from the public.
this year though thanks to wildwoods excellent advertising we had a really good turnout of people.
hopefully there will be some pictures and videos on youtube/facebook soon.
